He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Schaefer and Lilly Mae Schaefer (LaPerriere); his siblings-in-law, John and Leora Friedli; and his friend Pete Roller.
He is survived by: his wife Susan L. Friedli; his children, Scott (Ericka) of Wausau, WI, Heidi of Rhinelander, Heather of Rhinelander and Shawn (Melissa) of Neenah, WI; his grandchildren, Morgan, Brooke, Caleb and Cole; his brother Doug (Rose) of New Berlin, WI.; and his friend Lois Roller. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
