He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Hefty and Margie Hefty (Erickson). He is survived by : his siblings, Roger Hefty (Ann), Paul Hefty (Sue), Wayne Hefty (Annette) and Shari Moon (Colin). He is also survived by 7 nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI 54801).
