It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Johanknecht (Ripon, Wisconsin), born in Waupaca, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 30, 2010, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Johanknecht and Margaret Johanknecht (Pryse); and his brother Robert "Bob" Johanknecht. He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Marie Linskey; his wife Mary Grace Viste; his grandchildren, Elliott William, Oliver Lee, Lucy Ryan of Virginia, Dana Grace Ogilvie of Newport Beach, CA, Andrew Rodgers Ogilvie, Connor James Zoromski, Harper Rose Storz, Lydia Arje, Maria Coreen and Isaiah Franklin Wilson; his brother Alan Johanknecht (Rosalie) of Wauwatosa, WI; his sister-in-law Connie Shellenberger Johanknecht; and his close friends, James, Karen Buhl of Neenah, WI, Paul and Renee Doyle of Port Orange, FL. He is also survived by four children.

Gary had suffered many years from complications due to his Vietnam War exposure to Agent Orange, ultimately succumbing to Parkinson's Disease and lung cancer.
