It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Badtke of Ripon, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Badtke and Dorothy Badtke (Quick); his wife Sandra Badtke; his in-laws, Ralph and Arlene Liptow; his grandson Joshua Eiler; his son-in-law David Eiler; and his siblings-in-law, Don Retzlaff, Sara, Noreen, Mary Liptow and Doreen Badtke.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Eiler, DuWayne Badtke (Amy), Brian Badtke (Janice) and Peter Badtke (Lori); his grandchildren, Nicole (Jon), Cody (Vanessa), Ethan (Lindsey), Isabelle, Mitch (Amanda), Ronald, Kaylin, Kasie and Sarah; his siblings, Caroline Retzlaff and Tom Badtke; and his siblings-in-law, Ron, Terry (Tammy), Gary Liptow and Julie Meilahn (Steve). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Our Saviours United Church of Christ (343 Scott St, Ripon, WI 54971). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nepeuskun Cemetery.
