It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan L. Mathia of Ripon, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan L. Mathia to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Schave and Martha Schave (Linetty); her daughter Mary Oesterreich; her siblings, Georgine Mill and Tom Schave; her nephew John Mill; her in-laws, Alfred and Lucy Mathia; and her brother-in-law Howard Kotlowski.

She is survived by : her husband Bob; her daughters, Laura Chipman (Chuck), Ann Belau (Mark) and Shelly Kastenschmidt (Derek); her grandchild Robb Mathia (Molly); her son-in-law Steve Oesterreich; her sister Judy Goyette (Jim); and her sister-in-law Lois Kotlowski. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Joan's name.
