He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph George and Theresa Basel (Maciejewska); his parents-in-law, Lester and Frances Pease; his siblings, Donald, Leo, Norbert, Thomas Basel, Edward Hartwig, Barbara, Patricia and Margaret; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Schmick, Dorene, Justina, Mavis, Roberta, Anna and Rowland Pease.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Basel of Ripon; his sons, Kenneth, Jr. Basel (Mary Beth) of Ripon, Michael Basel (Julie) of Verona, WI, Joseph Basel (Susan) of Arlington, WI and Steven Basel (Julie) of Ripon; his grandchildren, Kelly Domke (Jesse), Thomas Basel, Rebecca Domer (Kyle), Rachel Green (Alex), Andrew Basel, Alisha Van Den (Terry), Alexis Basel and Alexander Basel; his stepgrandchildren, Paul Chapa (Angie) and Frances Herman (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Dominic, Mason, William, Hadlee, Annabelle, Virginia, Evelyn, Charlotte and Aurora; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Payton, Preston, Bradly and Allyssa; his sisters, Geraldine Bodine and Carol Ann Garcia; and his brother-in-law Lester Pease. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (228 E Blossom St, Ripon, WI 54971). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
