She was predeceased by: her parents, August Lange and Erna Lange (Wegner); her husband Art Schmuhl; her grandson Kenneth Bruss; her sister Delores; and her siblings-in-law, Erwin Eckert, Jr., Frank, Violet Schmuhl and Lorraine Schmuhl.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Schmuhl (Kristina) of Middleton, WI and Susan Bruss (David) of Markesan, WI; her grandchildren, Laura Zietlow (Rob), Dan (Robin Schmuhl), Rachel and Chad (Ben Bruss); her great grandchild Blake Zietlow; and her siblings-in-law, Harlan and Lois Schmuhl.
