He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Sauer and Nellie Sauer (Gleffe); his wife Shirley Sauer; his daughter Julie Ann Sauer; and his siblings, Lyle, Lloyd, Ralph, Herman Jr., Merle Olson, Norma Sauer, Estella Mugridge, Mary Hare and Carol Sauer.
He is survived by : his nephews, Bartelt and Dahl.
