She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Backman and Bessie Backman of Sioux Falls; her parents-in-law, Ray and Gladys Knutson; her sister Bonnie Krochock; and her brothers-in-law, David and Tom Knutson.
She is survived by: her husband Charles D. Knutson; and her children, Mark (Claudia), Scott (Jackie), Karen (Greg) and Kristin (Aaron). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Betty's honor to Servant of the Shepherd Church, the Alzheimer's Association, or your local animal rescue organization.
