Douglas Joosten Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Joosten of River Falls, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Douglas' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Douglas' journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilmyerth Joosten and Jacob Joosten; and his children, Stephen, Michael and Sheila (Schils). He was also cherished by his three children, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bakken-Young (805 E Division St, River Falls, WI 54022). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
