He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Matzek and Lee Matzek. He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Danielson (Mike), Maralee Shoemaker (Denny), Kristi Sloniger (Peter Conover) and Joe Matzek (MaryBeth); and his nieces and nephews, Sandy Hunting, Scott Shoemaker, Nicole Bartelt, Matt Danielson, Alec Danielson, Lauren Sloniger, Michael Matzek and Allison Matzek.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the CullenCrea Funeral Home (307 S Arch Ave, New Richmond, WI 54017). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division St, River Falls, WI 54022).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the River Fall Free Clinic or St. Bridget Church.
