He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Bennett; and his brother-in-law Tod Fredericks. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Fredericks of Madison, WI; his niece Danielle Mandelkow (Mitch); his nephew Ben Bennett (Brooke); Raelyn of Red Wing, MN and Briggs of Cottage Grove, MN..

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Connell Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services (225 S 3rd St, River Falls, WI 54022). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Ucc Cemetery. He merged his skills in electronics and as an amateur musician as the facilities/stage manager of the Sheldon Theater in Red Wing for many years followed by becoming director of maintenance and facility management at Prescott Nursing and Rehab, doing his part to deal with the COVID pandemic.
