He was predeceased by: his sons, Jeffery and Eric Bjerstedt (Susan). He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Williams; his children, Mark Bjerstedt (Lee Ann), Jill Kusilek (Tim) and Sara Conway (James); his grandchildren, Maxwell Bjerstedt (Chelsey), Leah Bjerstedt, Jae and Jaz Conway; and his great grandchildren, Winnifred, Reya and Odin Bjerstedt.
