He is survived by : his mother Margaret Sue Markert (Mullen) of Hastings; his son William III; his wife Sarah Anne Teresinski; his daughters, Anne and Kate; his father William Sr. Markert; his sister Suzi Robole (Denny Smith) of Prescott; his parents-in-law, David and Jane Teresinski of Waupun, WI; his sisters-in-law, Jenny Lois (Steve) of Wautoma, WI and Nicole Spang (Nich) of Edgerton, WI.; and his nephews, Jared (Gabrielle), Ryan, Mychala, Nick (Jillian), Alexis (Isabelle) and Grant.

He closed his practice during the COVID pandemic which allowed him invaluable time with his family before joining Collins Aerospace, specializing in contract negotiation.
