He is survived by: his wife Shirley Boening of Salem, WI; his sons, Jeffrey Boening of Salem, WI and Steve Boening (Julie) of Glenbeulah, WI; his grandchildren, Jacob Boening (Megen), Kate Ulman (Anthony) and Drew Boening; and his great grandchildren, Kolton and Owen.

In lieu of flowers, family is asking for donations to Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
