He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kendall Cofell and Jayne White; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Cofell; his in-laws, Ernie and Dolly Barwick; his brother-in-law Jim Wojcik; and his close friends, Frank Kesy, Dave Sorenson and Joe Bever.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Carla Nichols (Bob), Monte Cofell Jr., Cathy Mutschler (Peter) and Michael Cofell; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Griffin, Duncan, Lily, Harrison Cofell and Jack Mutschler; his stepgrandchildren, Robby and Grant Nichols; his stepgreat-grandchild Ivy Nichols; his siblings, Loren Cofell (Eileen) and Winifred May; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Wojcik and Janice Barwick.
