He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Schroeter and Margaret Schroeter (Bintzler). He is survived by: his wife Lynette Schroeter of Schofield; his children, Jody, Angela Schroeter (Matt) of Chaska, MN, Alex Schroeter (Mary) of Minneapolis, MN and Alicia Resch (Eric) of Hatley, WI; his stepchildren, Lynette, Brittany Adams (Chad) of Wausau, WI, Brent Grotjahn (Erin) of Fond du Lac, WI and Andrew Grotjahn of Wausau, WI.; his grandchildren, Olivia, Flint, Martin, Elliott and Claire; his stepgrandchildren, Kayden, Aiden, Emmy and Nora; his siblings, James Schroeter (Pam) of Tomahawk, WI and Barb Plaza of Minnesota; his nephews, Jimi Schroeter (Jessica), Nick Plaza (Amanda) and Ryan Plaza; and his stepmother Luana Schroeter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, his step siblings, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the John J. Buettgen Funeral Home - Schofield (948 Grand Ave, Schofield, WI 54476). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bantr (805 Creske Ave, Rothschild, WI 54474).
