Betty left this world on September 13, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Roffers and Henrietta Roffers (Kocken); her husband Lee Schmit; her son Terry Schmit; and her siblings, Mary, Jim Roffers (Ruth Ann), Robert "Bobby" Roffers, Mike Roffers and Willy Roffers.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Schmit (Julie) and Mark Schmit (Sarah); her granddaughters, Alyssa Schmit and Aurora Schmit; her goddaughter Brenda Halase-Schuh; and her siblings, Linda Halase (Gary), David Roffers (Claire), Harley Roffers (Nancy), Gary Roffers (Carolyn) and Joseph Roffers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (915 Ivory St, Seymour, WI 54165). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
