He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Hendzel; his wife Joyce Mary Hendzel; his son Randy Hendzel; his father Edward Sr. Hendzel; his brothers, Edward "Butch" and Gerald Hendzel; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hendzel, Dean and Jack Blaser.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hendzel, Laura Melotte (Bruce), Scott Hendzel (Louise) and Lynn Cornell (Jerry Fischer); his grandchildren, Sarah Heimerl (Kyle), Erica Wolf (Dan), Erin Muthig (Andrew), Jolene, Jessie Melotte, Levi Grudznske, Hannah Hendzel, Jenna Buman (Skyler), Jodine Martin (Brad) and Garret Cornell; his great grandchildren, Demi, Jack Heimerl, Carson, Connor Muthig, Irma Melotte, Krew Pecha, Lydia, Sawyer, Frankie Joyce Buman, Maci, Nora Martin and Bennet Cornell; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Hendzel and Donna Blaser. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
