He was predeceased by: his son Mark Gilles; his sisters, Carrie Backhaus, Norma Gerrits, Eileen Moore, Joyce Grosklaus and Ruth Falter; his stepbrothers, Jerry and Bill Goodman; his stepfather Bill Goodman; and his grandsons, Dustin Wasson and Alex Albrecht.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his daughters, Shawna Rene (Scott) and Tanya Wasson; his grandchildren, Megan Sand (Travis), DeShawn Gilles (Linnette), Andrew Rene, Logan Gilles (Maddie) and Lucas Wasson; his great grandchildren, Ashton Rene, Brinnley Sand, Jodye Felder, Ava Rene, Emersyn Sand, Markus Gilles and Janey Gilles; his granddaughter Aurora Becker (Chase); his siblings, Doreen Roberts, Sharon Bormet (Joe), Don Gilles, Dick Gilles (Carol) and Denny Gilles (Marlene); and his close friends, Sue and Woody Rene.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church.
