She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Barton; her parents, Frances Sickles and Charles Cornelius; her siblings, Harriet Jorgensen (Norbert Sr.), Harold Cornelius, Harrison Cornelius (Louise), Merlin Cornelius (Janice), Evangeline VanStippen, Roberta Anderson (Rueben), Irene Lenhart (Leroy), Charlene Cornelius, Wayne Cornelius and Ronald Cornelius (Rosalea); her grandson Jason Peters; and her great great grandchild Kota Barton Wilkerson.
She is survived by: her children, Robert C. Barton (Kerry), Nancy Barton, Larry Barton (Jane), Lori Webster (Mel), Kendall Barton (Sue) and John VanStippen (Mary); her siblings-in-law, Cleo Cornelius and Walter Barton; and her close friends, Shirley Hill, Donna Richmond, Joy Ninham and Irene Moore. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home (358 S Main St, Seymour, WI 54165). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
