She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Micke and Elizabeth Micke (Spierings); her husband Clarence Smet of Paul's Catholic Church; her parents-in-law, Peter and Katherine Smet; her siblings, Eugene and Marion Grode (late Brian); her in-laws, Gerald Van Eperen, Bob Fritsch, Katherine Schlimm (late Clement), Josephine Wallace (late John), Hortense Van Handel (late Raymond), Joseph Smet (late Ceil), Edward Smet, Germaine Smet, Marion Smet and Norman Bowers; her daughter-in-law Sue Smet; and her grandchildren, Dalton Brokiewicz and Hope Elizabeth Hofacker.
She is survived by: her child Thomas Smet; her grandsons, Craig (Katie) and Adam Smet (Andrea); her children, Kylee, Evan and Logan Smet; her in-laws, Rosemary Van Eperen, Carol Ederer (Gerald), Patty Gerend (Bob), Helen Fritsch, Robert Micke, Betty Headings (Charles), Mary Micke-Dickrell (Jim), Kathy Miller (Paul) and William Micke (Jean); her siblings-in-law, Delores Micke, Margaret Bowers and Francis Smet; and also, Jean, Nicole Hanson (Grant), Paul Christensen (Caitlin), Jerrod Christensen (Kayleigh), Gary Christensen (Andrea), Janice Terrell (Collin), Bob Christensen, Joanne Smurawa (Leonard), Trisha Simpson (Bob), Erica Smurawa, Robert Smet (Ginnie), Clayton, Linda Nolan (Michael), Laura Hofacker (Jeff), Lathan, Rachel Hofacker, John Smet and Brenda. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and many furry friends.
