He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewald Sr. Giese and Florina Giese (Rusch); his wife Patsi of Paul's Lutheran Church; his children, David Giese and Jodi Carpenter; his grandson Duane Eugene Carpenter; and his brothers, Albert Giese, Theodore Giese and Marvin Giese.
He is survived by: his daughters, Robin Ford (Mark) of Shawano, Julie Sprong (Kevin) of Mequon, Donna Beyer (Bill) of Shawano, Rhonda Resch (Scott) of Freemont and Cheryle Bennin (Lance) of Shawano; his sisters, Marlene Wozniak (Phillip) and Marion "Tootie" Maltbey; his sister-in-law Sharon Giese; his brother Dick Giese (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Russell Holmes, Larry Timm (Laurie), Barb Abraham (Mike), Debbie Becker, Debbie Dollar (Richard) and Gina McGee. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
