He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Welch and Leonard "Stub" Welch; his former wife Nita Spiegel; his brothers, Joe Welch, Les Welch and Delbert Gulbronson; his aunt Alberta "Shorty" Gulbronson; and his great grandchildren, Cedar Jade Wescott, Sikani Joy Parker, Tammy Isabel Lynn Parker and Spike.
He is survived by: his wife Molly B. Welch; his children, Lenore Shepard (Michael), Carol Jean Komanekin and Leonard E. Welch Jr.; his siblings, John Welch (Laurie), Loraine Welch and Lynne "Squeek" Welch; and his close friend Pooka. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mohican Many Trails Park (Bowler, WI 54416).
