She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysius Straten and Cecilia Van Straten (Dietzler); her husband Robert Wayne Van Kirk; her siblings, Roger (Gerry), Gerald (Arlene), Donald (Marvella), Leonard, Russel Van Straten (Gerri), Joyce, Alice and Karen Van Straten; and her brothers-in-law, James and Joseph Van Kirk.

She is survived by: her children, Joanne Edwards (Troy) of Shawano, Julie Trudeau (Michael) of Hewitt, WI, Jessie Hanssen (Thomas) of Shawano and James Van Kirk (Elessa) of Neenah; her grandchildren, Matthew Edwards, Nicole Radtke (Jared), Nathan Edwards, Amanda Davis (Nick), Carrie Trudeau, Ashley Hanssen and Andrew Hanssen; her great grandchildren, Dean, Wyatt, Sawyer and Clara Cecilia Pat Radtke; her brothers, Carl (Linda) and Daniel Van Straten (Ervida); and her sisters-in-law, Mary P. and Barbara Van Kirk.
