He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Sperberg and Beatrice Sperberg (Fahrenkrug); his former wife Katharina F. Sperberg; and his brother Larry "L. J." Sperberg. He is survived by: his wife Anita Sperberg; his son Michael J. Sperberg; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Short (Ferlin), Leslie Schafer (Bryan) and Becky Moore (Shannon); his grandchildren, Kaden Sperberg, Jessica Maltos (Dominic) and Bronson Schafer; his great grandchild Adelina Maltos; his sister-in-law Bonnie Sperberg; his friend Dick Kortbein; and his pets, Lilly, Toby and Sheila.
