He was predeceased by : his mother Kathryn "Kitty" Schroeder (Batton); his former life partner Margaret "Maggie" Daley (Bernitt); and his daughter Stephanie. He is survived by : his children, Scott Schroeder (Michelle) and Leslie Verkuilen (Max); and his grandchildren, Joshua Mielke (Morgan), Samantha Taylor (Cameron), Matthew Mielke (Stephanie), Adam Mielke (Tarah Malotky), Dustin Schroeder (Alyson), Dylan Schroeder (Tristan), Devon Miller (Justin) and Francesca Verkuilen. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
