She was predeceased by: her mother Catherine Peters; her husband James Smith; her grandson Louis, III; her siblings, Veronica "Cookie", Emelda, Lyle and Roger; and her in-laws, Bernard "Smitty", Mary "Tweet", Mary "Grub", Warren "Sarge", Gregory and John.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie, Laurie, Darrell, Greg, Lea and Robin; her grandchildren, Richard, Justin, Larissa, Alek, Ashley, Brayden, Diandra, Lori, Darrell, Jr., Melinda, Sage, Ashauntee, Allen, Ayanna, Courtney, Kristen, Caleb, Naraeha, Porfilio, Jr., Temaeha, Drelynn and Brayllar; her siblings, Andrea (Handy), Marilyn (Nonie) and Willard "Buzz"; her in-laws, Joseph "Puffer", Stephen "Kuka" and Gerald; her nephew John Dess; and her close friends, Alice, Annette, Kathy, Mary and Molie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Neopit Community Center (6797 BIA Rte 431, Neopit, WI 54150). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (W6799 Church Street, Neopit, WI 54150).
