He was predeceased by: his father Gerlad Polum, Jr.; his grandfathers, Gerald Polum, Sr. and James Caldwell; his great-grandparents, Lorraine and Robert Splitgerber; his great-uncle Leroy Splitgerber; his great-aunt Paula Keenan; and his brother-in-law Robert Gosewehr.

He is survived by: his mother Debbie Polum, of Shawano; his sister Tracy Caldwell-Gosewehr of Appleton; his nieces and nephews, Riley Recore and Cashton Recore of Appleton; his grandmothers, Patricia Caldwell of Shawano and Evelyn Polum of Shawano; his uncle Randy Polum, Sr. (Chongsun) of Deering; his cousins, Jenny LeMaster (Robert) of Minot and Randy Polum, Jr. (Rachel Ralph) of Minot; his uncles, Tom Polum (Bert VanMiddendorp) of New York and John Polum of Shawano; his great-aunt Connie Splitgeber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and his pets, Buckwheat and Stewie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shawano Humane Society to honor Tyler's love for animals.
