David leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew David will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dr. Bonnie Behee-Semler; his son Joshua Semler; his parents, Dr. William L. Semler (David) and Ellen P. Semler; and his brother-in-law Michael Joyce.
He is survived by: his sons, Aaron and Zachary (Suzanne); his stepchildren, Cathy (Andy) and Bob (Mary); and his sisters, Barbara Bosnjak (Marko) and Karen Joyce. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scottish Festivals, Inc., supporting the Milwaukee Highland Games and the preservation of Scottish heritage, honoring Bonnie's longtime involvement in Scottish dancing and one of the highlights of David and Bonnie's years together—their memorable trip to Scotland.
