He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence, Elsie Thiel, Harvey and Enda Roerdink; and his sibling's children, Stacie Kanzelberger and Brad Jeske.
He is survived by: his parent Wilburt Thiel; his wife Patty Thiel (Ott); his sons, Dylan and Alexander Thiel; his mother Dianne Thiel (Roerdink); his sisters, Barb Sunke (Greg) and Judy Mueller (Mike); his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Schultz and Debbie Ott; and his siblings' children, Jennifer, Heather Wagner, Elizabeth DenDekker (Tony), Emilee Schultz (Ben Bannier) and Benjamin Schultz.
