We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2024, at the age of 84, Carol J. Kaat of Sheboygan, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Chris Dixhorn and Laura Van Dixhorn (Lievense); her husband Leon Kaat; her parents-in-law, Leonard and Vivian Kaat; her siblings, Betty Jane Van Dixhorn, Harold Van Dixhorn, Donald Van Dixhorn, Chris Van Dixhorn (Pearl) and Jack Van Dixhorn; her niece Lynette Van Dixhorn; and her nephew Jeff Van Dixhorn.

She is survived by : her children, Amy Van Wyk (Kenneth) of Waldo and Tim Kaat (Shari) of Sheboygan Falls; her grandchildren, Ben Van Wyk (Mallory), Samuel Van Wyk (Courtney Gmach), Mary Van Wyk, Taylor Kaat and Amanda Wingert (Dean); her great grandchildren, Carter and Tanner Van Wyk; her sister-in-law Audrey Van Dixhorn; her nieces, Lynn Cook (David), Nancy Van Dixhorn, Jodi Van Dixhorn and Kim Nack (Jeff); and her nephew Thomas Van Dixhorn (Lora). She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls.

Carolyn Hartlaub/ Stewart wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Carol J. Kaat, Someone so special will not be forgotten. She was my Girl Scout Leader as a young child. Also went to school with Amy her daughter. Have lots of great memories during that time. She always had a warm giving present about her. I have thought of her and her family though the years often. My Condolences to the family,”
