He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Meyer and Rose Meyer (Shapiro); his son Jay Allen; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Jo; his granddaughters, Cameron Rose (Camden Sikes) and Isabel Sloan; his nephew CJ; and his friends, Carol and Bruce Grover.
In lieu of flowers, Richard requested that donations be made to either Above & Beyond Children's Museum (Sheboygan) or the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN).
