He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Johnson and Tekla Johnson; his wife Elaine Johnson; and his sister Tekla "Arlene" Rex (Joe). He is survived by: his children, Fred Johnson (Megan) and Wendy Kendzior (Don); his grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Mitchell and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Frankie, Violet, Ann, Evangeline and Elijah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Diocese of Superior, the Bishop's Legacy Circle.
