Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shirley Sr. and Mary Shirley (McNeil); his wife Georgia A. Shirley (McKibben); and his siblings, Marjorie Cherry, Mary Alexander, Margaret Olson, Marion Portman and Harvey Shirley.
He is survived by: his sons, Eugene Shirley of Hazel Green, WI, Thomas Shirley (Denise) of Hazel Green, WI and Dan (Keri); and his sister Marie Galagher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Erickson Funeral Home (235 N Judgement St, Shullsburg, WI 53586).
