He was predeceased by: his parents, August Knier and Betty Knier (Franzmeier); his sister Patricia Lade; his parents-in-law, Russell and Carol Boldt; and his brother-in-law Carl Boldt.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Somers (Boldt); his brother Rick Knier; his niece Emily Knier; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Smith (Jerry), Steven, June Dolgner, Diane Kearns (Craig Scott), Frank Boldt (Ginger Pamperin), Gary Boldt (Rosalin Bowey), Peter Boldt (Laura Pamperin), Jack Boldt and Roxanne Markham. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Ron's name.
