He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Wilson (Woldt) and John L. Wilson; his grandmother Marie Woldt; his wife Barbara Jean Monson; his son Scott Wilson; his grandson Timothy Wilson; and his son-in-law Mike Larson.
He is survived by: his children, John "Butch" Wilson Jr. (Vicki) and Diane Skogman-Larson; his grandchildren, Nick Skogman (Katie), Joshua Wilson, Kelsey Sells (Brady), Stephanie Riggs (Sean) and Greg Wilson; his great grandchildren, Jack Wilson, Lily Skogman, Evelyn Sells, Oliver Sells, Sydney Wilson and Jacob Wilson; his sibling's children, Lisa Gamblin (John), Julie King (Steve) and Paul Dyson (Maureen); Sue Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel (3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408).
