It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karsten Topelmann (Sister Bay, Wisconsin), who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his former life partner German; his daughter Tanja; his wife Ellen; and his children, Lisa (Mark Weder) and Lars (Monique McClean).

Sue Peterson wrote a sympathy message

“I met Karsten when I worked at Wilson's in Ephraim in the summer of 1975, prior to my Junior Year Abroad in Germany. The next summer, I stayed at their cottage to work at Wilson's for a few weeks and enjoyed exchanging stories about Germany. I'm reminded of his great artistic talents every day as a beautiful watercolor painting (of a sailboat moored in the Bay) that I purchased from his gallery hangs in my house. God's Peace.
