He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Richard Ellefson and Barbara Ellefson (Aaron); his wife Liz; his sons, Derrick (Erin), Ted (Kim) and Chad (Alesia); his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Teagan, Sammy, Kayla and Angelina; his siblings, Rick and Gay; and also Helene Toussaint. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for donations to be made at a later date.
