Barbara jean Bowker Obituary
Barbara Jean Bowker (Baggerson) , age 79, a resident of Bennett, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Middle River Nursing Home. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Matheis and Violet Baggerson. She was raised in Zion, Illinois and on June 17, 1950, was united in marriage to Guy Wilford Bowker in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The couple resided in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin where they raised their family.
In 1977, they purchased their property in Bennett, and in 1989, they retired there. Barbara enjoyed flowers, gardening, watching birds, and playing Bingo. Barbara is survived by her sons: David (Debra) Bowker of Racine, Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Linny) Bowker Sr. of Bennett, Wisconsin, and Mike Bowker of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr. (Chelsie), Nichole, and Ailien Bowker, Rachel Vesely, great granddaughter Fara, sister Marge Scott of Red Bay, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Guy on December 7, 2003, and her parents. Funeral services for Barbara Bowker will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 1pm, at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs with Pastor Nathan Winterhof officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from noon until 1pm.
Interment will be at the Bennett Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Bennett Town Hall. Casket bearers will be Mike Bowker, Jeffrey Bowker Sr., Dave Bowker, Jeffrey Bowker Jr., Jon Olson, Rylan Colby.
