He is survived by: his wife Debra; his daughters, Jessica Galow and Tina Nyquist (Mark Lamphier); his stepchildren, Kori Backlund, Christopher "Foofie" Backlund (Jason Brew) and Katie Backlund; his grandchildren, Megan, Madison, Jacob, Olivia, Ryley, Brooklyn, Reid, Brennon and Dawson; his great grandchild Zaiden; his siblings, Sandi Johnson and Dan Nyquist; and his pet Wesson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
