He is survived by: his wife Joy Bower; his children, Tiffany Melland, Matthew Burkhalter (Tiffany Vrstal) and Sharon Eastvold (Todd); his grandchildren, River, Athena, Evalyn, Norah, Naomi and Flint; and his siblings, Gary Burkhalter (Debbie), JoAnn McGuire and Laureen Presney (Tom). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
