She was predeceased by : her father George "Diddy" Mess; her grandparents, Lillian Johnsrud, George Sr. and Gladyce Mess; her uncle Teddy Woodkey; and her godchild Rodi Erickson.

She is survived by : her mother Jean Mess; her husband Patrick Long; her brothers, Randy Mess (Rodi) and Glenn Mess (Bobby Nollenberg); and her nephew Derek Mess. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Pkwy, Marshfield, WI 54449). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions to support her grandchildren's future education endeavors would be preferred.
