He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Swartz and Barbara Donelson Beard (Donelson); his parents-in-law, Joyce Sullivan (Heggmark) and Gerald Sullivan; and his brother-in-law Robert Cox (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sullivan; his daughter Catlin Scheppler (Chris Duran); his granddaughter Sullivan Scheppler of Marshfield, Wisconsin.; his siblings, John Swartz (Robin Munnikhuysen) and Jerry Lynn Cox; his siblings-in-law, Sheryl Winchester and James Raczek; and his pet Gretzky.
