She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer Hopfensperger and Viola Hopfensperger (Doughty); her husband Arnold G. Oelrich; her children, Douglas Oelrich, Sandra Kilty and Scott Oelrich; her children-in-law, MaryKay Oelrich and Daniel Foth; and her siblings, Marvin Hopfensperger, Janice Krasselt, Evelyn Derrickson, Floyd Hopfensperger, Charles Hopfensperger and Doris Toltzman.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Oelrich (Sherrie) of Whitehall, Michele Foth of North Carolina and Jeremy Oelrich (Jennifer) of Spencer; and her siblings, Carol Luepke, Sharon Kurzinski, Diane Mossberger, Lynette Hildebrandt, Jim Hopfensperger and Dawn Obermann. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.

If desired, memorials in Muriel's name may be directed to a charity to be designated at a later date.
