The passing of John Paul Zavodnick of Spooner, Wisconsin leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 82. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zavodnick and Sophie Zavodnick; and his sisters, Rosemary Stefanich (Raymond) and Teresa Stefanich (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Zavodnick; his children, Matthew Zavodnick of Rogers, MN, Michele Purcell of Otsego, MN and Mindy Stollenwerk; his grandchildren, AJ, Taylor, Anni, Amelia, Ethan and Owen; and his sisters, Deb Devaney (Steve) of Mora, MN and Carol McLees of Watauga, TX. He is also survived by six nephews, one niece and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1790 Scribner St, Spooner, WI 54801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI 54801).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Gospel Mission, Duluth, MN or Trinity Lutheran Church, Spooner.
