She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Demuth and Marie Demuth; her husbands, Dick Kannel (Dick) and Bob Jenny (Bob); her daughter Jacki Thoen; her grandchildren, Alyssa Spence, Joanne Kannel, Jennifer Kannel and Jeremy Sonntag; her great grandchild Millie Alton; and her in-laws, Pete DeGross, Bob Beaver, Bob Fetzer, Jim Kannel (Fran), Dale Kannel (Betty), Geraldine Brunner (Elwin) and Kathleen Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Bobbi Spence (Randy), Mary Alton (Mark), Greg Kannel (Connie), Joanne Vanasse, Tammy Ormson (Brian), Tim Kannel (Donna), Stepanie Sonntag (Brad), Tina Johnson (Jason) and Kris Klages (Bill); her son-in-law Greg Thoen; and her stepchildren, Tom Jenny (Ann), Michele Mauer (Chris), Lee Walters (Steve) and Melissa Jenny (Kevin Linden). She is also survived by 56 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.
They lived happily in Spring Valley until he entered Birch Haven Care Center in November of 2017, to provide the additional care that his Alzheimer's journey required.
