She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Blasel and Leona Blasel (Boxrucker); her daughter Beth Schield; her parents-in-law, Chester and Gertrude Nelson; and her siblings, Elmer Blasel and Florence Jarvis.
She is survived by: her husband Donald W. Nelson; her daughters, Cindy Marczak (Mike) of Stevens Point and Sharon Maloney (Tim) of Avon, IN; her son-in-law Kirk Schield of Two Harbors, MN; her grandchildren, Daniel Schield (Kelli), Benjamin Schield (Samantha), Anna Fredrick (Ryan), Sara Klinker (David), Trevor Maloney (Vivian), MacKenzie Sering (Gabriel) and Dean Marczak; her great grandchildren, Asher Schield, Eleanor, Maxwell Klinker, Collin and Maggie Sering; her siblings, Edna Porter, Arlene Dassow (Harvey), Doris Dietze and Allen Blasel (Sue); and her sisters-in-law, Ilaine Blasel and Shirley Kruescher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established at a later date.
