He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Hoppa and Joseph Mayek; and his siblings, Irene Kowalski and James Mayek (Mary McCauley Mayek). He is survived by: his children, Mike (Amy), Tim (Deb), Christine (Brian Gorelick), Jennifer (Mike Stemple), Joe (Bridget) and John; his grandchildren, Holly (Collin Joseph), Jesse Mayek (Maya Ganzen), Christopher Mayek, David, John Gorelick, Andrew, Megan Stemple (Scott Creamer) and Lily Mayek; and his great grandchildren, Cayson Creamer and Ira Mayek.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Bronislava Catholic Church (3200 Plover Rd, Plover, WI 54467). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
