She is survived by: her former husband Daniel Wald; her siblings, Cathy Maslowski (Tim Fleischman), Laurie Lenz (Jeff) and Jim McDonald (Dawn); her siblings' children, Adam Maslowski (Julie), Heather Kieliszewski (Karl), Megan Maslowski (Kirsten Mousel) and Kelly Lenz; and her great-nieces, Kennedy and Murphy Maslowski.

“Very sad for your loss, Jane was my friend. It was easy to see the light inside of Jane and harder to watch that light flicker and fade. I am not sure if I have ever known anyone who had such a longing to belong but chose to keep herself at a distance. Jane's intellect and sense of humor (albeit sarcastic), were over the top. Her perception of life was almost childlike at times, her survival of life was harsh in its reality. My wish for her now is the same as always, peace. Jody Kling”
